You came when I expected none and left when I thought we'd grown closer.
You took me when I wasn't ready, and left me when I was craving your touch.
You said you loved me when I thought you did not, and you made me realise the three magical words were, after all, just words when I thought I was at least left with the memory. You made it meaningless.
It did not last as long as we thought, yet it gave us the memories we wanted. Sexual tensions? Check. Sweet bruises? Check. Pink blushes? Check. Attention, from the crowd? Check. Distraction? Certainly a lot. Tears and torture? Oh, more than I could've imagined.
Let me show you our story once again, this time it being the epic tale in your life, and a misery I have always beheld deep inside my gut, I was terrified to let it take over mine.
Ours was a story they were jealous of, the diamond they wanted to crush down but didn't know which hammer to use, they saw all the thorns to enter but the softest rose petals we've ever felt.

They took her. That's the last thing that burns in my mind, at least the most important thing that can come to mind. Everyone knew her, she was a sacred gem to the royals, her name was Tori LightningFlame. A dutchess soon to be married to Prince Spectre. That's how we all knew her, not how she used to roam through the walls of the city without permission (although I'm sure I only remember that), not how she would dance around the ballroom in her father's shoes with her friends until dawn. Everyone simply thought of her as a kind and generous person who would someday be our queen. But one day, Spectre thought differently, all I saw was when she was binded and screaming for help on the back of a horse driven carriage, guards yelling at her to quiet down or she would be burned. There was much talk arising in the lands after that day, some say she was taken and burned to her death miserably, others who speak the truth in our quaint town say she was taken away and cursed upon, making her a monster and could only thrive in her own world. Then we only believed that she was out of our lives and it was against the written laws to speak of her unless given permission. Even today, no one has spoken of her to me. And no one ever will. When I was younger I heard most of the talk about Tori and Spectre being a stable boy, but it wasn't enough for me, I wanted a better job, I wanted to hear more about them, I wanted to be important there. So everyday for the past five years I've begged. And begged. And begged my father to let me at least attempt to become a squire. I was drowning. I knew that. I also knew that the hands around my throat, pushing me deeper into the river water was the cause. What I didn't know was who was drowning me and why. It hurt thinking. It hurt to do anything right now. But I still screamed under the cold water and pushed the hands away as hard as I could. It didn't have much effect. I fought and fought, but I was getting weaker, and colder. The pain was overbearing. I couldn't breathe. He was kind, and slowly she found herself feeling like her fantasies were materializing before her eyes. She started yielding to him. Gentle, patient, and powerful, all of the things she could ever desire. The boy made her feel loved more than her wildest dreams. Always so gentle and loving, the girl began to feel like she can love someone now. Even though, she wanted to dictate the pace. No matter how much she tried to keep him away, her heart deceived her and chose him time and again.He became so important to her like her breath . With him she felt she is living a dream . He was the comfort who brought warmth into her life and the sustenance she had longed for in patience without her knowing.
