Something about the song resonated deeply. So much so, he decided to record a cover.

To his surprise, the cover went viral. And of course, Ray saw it-secretly. He listened to it on repeat, unable to shake the ache and stirred in him.

It hit him harder than he expected: he missed Sand. Terribly. It was only now, too late, that he realized the depth of his feelings.

He wanted to go back. To fix things. To choose Sand this time.

But how do you reach out to someone who's already let you go?

I can definitely say that I fell in love with you the first night we hung out together though. 4/18/21. We went to eat at The American Dream and we talked about various things. I can't exactly remember all we talked about because the only thing I could think was 'he is the one.' We're on different paths now and honestly, you're starting to slip from my memories. There's a quote that states ' Love is like sand. If you hold on too tight it starts to slip from your fingers, but if you let go it'll stay', and I can honestly say I held on as tight as I could.
