All fifteen year old Aria wants is a family of her own. After years of getting sent to countless boarding schools, only to be sent back within a couple weeks, she ends up at Saint Augustine's School for Troubled Children, a state of the art boarding school with positively evil teachers. Aria befriends Logan, an academic genius, and Jada and James, inseparable twins who could probably hack into the Pentagon, through detention. When students start disappearing, the four discover that the faculty may not be what they see. When one of Aria's new friends vanishes before her eyes, she begins to realize that they are in way over their heads. Can messages from a mysterious source help them save their friend (and possibly the whole school)?

He and Mikayla are fighting habitually, his home life is still unbearable, and his time at school is hardly any better, made worse by a bully named Calvin. Their mutual dislike of one another leads to a lot of hostility, routinely leading to Jay being sent to his school's principal. One confrontation in particular goes much too far, resulting in Jay's expulsion from school.
