Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III has never felt love or kindness from anyone but one person, Astrid Hofferson. He was called the runt of the village and was considered a fishbone by everyone including the chief his father. One day during a raid he shoots a night fury out of the sky and no one believes him besides Astrid. So the next day they went to look for it and what they seen amazed them. They seen the night fury with its mate in a cove. When they get back to the village they are told they will be joining dragon killing training and that's when they both decided it was time to leave.

Anyways, once you got too the island you soon ran into a beautiful black scaled dragon, but it wasn't a regular dragon, it could change colors, sizes, and has fire breath to heal. Pretty cool right, well that's not nearly as cool as it being the offspring of a night fury and a mood dragon. Its known as a Color Fury. Your dragons name is (D/n). One day, you and (D/n) left your 'home' and flew off to find a village. So he decided to take matters into his on hands by running away or flying away from berk, not the best move but knowing he was know as the village runt or the Chief's screwup and would always get beat up for no valid reasons by his cousin and his friends, sure he pass every training with a prefect score but he still did not get the respect that he deserve from the villagers. If he so tried to convince them. No one would listen to him. Not even his own father. But he wasn't running away with just Toothless but with Astrid as well. After their romantic flied which also change her view on dragons, and their discovery of the red death, Hiccup was still planning to run away even though he have just finally friended an actual human, he decided to tell her so he don't have to let her worry about him leaving without a word in the next day. When he finish telling her his plan and surprisingly to hiccup and even Toothless she beg to come with and she also told him her reason. Turns out Astrid Hofferson was abused and pressured by her own family. She have enough of it, Hiccup didn't really have yes as his first nor second choice but she beg him until he gave up and let her tag along.
