Conflict consumed mankind for centuries, yet the greatest tragedy arrived in the form of Five World Wars. Each carved deep scars into the Earth, yet humanity would never learn from their past mistakes. On October 23rd, 2077, the end arrived, not with victory, but with fire. Nuclear storms tore across the globe, cities crumbled into dust, and the oceans rose to swallow what little remained. Humanity perished, its monuments drowned, its legacy buried beneath ruins and ocean.
From the drowned world arose something new. Inklings, Octolings, and other marine-born kin emerged from the abyss, inheriting the planet humanity had squandered. From the bones of drowned empires, they raised spires of steel and stone, forging civilizations above the ruins of the old.
In the year 14,024 AD, a long-forgotten human vault buried beneath the earth has yet to be discovered. Life on the surface is about to change...
