River finally escaped her Mother. And she barely gained her freedom unscathed. Her stepfather took the opportunity of the incident to transfer her to a different school away from home where River's safe. But safe seems to be impossible for River.

She met someone.

Someone who keeps on hurting her like it's an obsession, like it brings pleasure to see her bleeding and begging. But she can't seem to stay away, like the danger of Mayhem attracts her to the point of insanity.

And maybe that's what she is, like her Mother, because Mayhem, like his name, is chaos, darkness, and pure of unhinged obsessions that can't be satiated with the norm.
