Red String (bakugo x reader)
The red string may tangle, but it never breaks. This is a Bakugo x reader, and you are y/n Todoroki, the twin sister of Shoto Todoroki. According to ancient Japanese folklore, two souls destined to meet are tied together by an invisible red cord that can stretch across the world, but can never be severed.
For y/n Todoroki, that legend was a comforting lie her mother told her when she was a little girl. Now, y/n is fighting to make that destiny her own. Her powerful, white-hot Quirk is the only thing standing between her and a Quirk Marriage arranged by her father. The rules are simple, but deadly: Maintain a flawless record at U.A. High, or forfeit her future and her freedom.
Her biggest hurdle? The explosive, volatile student who seems determined to ignite every single one of her nerves: Katsuki Bakugo.
After a bike crash, teasing, and ass-kicking thanks to y/n at the Entrance Exams, Bakugo is left spitting fire-convinced the "white-haired airhead" is nothing more than a smug, soft-spoken threat he needs to crush. He misinterprets her desperate need for perfection as pure arrogance, but he can't deny the terrifying heat of her power, or the way she manages to leave him flustered and speechless.
As their rivalry sets Class 1-A on fire, the two most intense students in the hero course unknowingly fulfill the terms of the myth. They are bound together by an invisible thread woven from destiny and defiance.
