In the beginning there was only life and death ...

A goddess Vitani. And her deathly twin, Mordeus. Vitani created life, humans, animals, streams and plants. Mordeus ensured the death and decay of all that walked the Earth and carried their spirits to the afterlife once they left their flesh domains.

A perfect balance.

Vitani had a consort, Daemon. Who loved her once then grew dark with envy, on her ability to create. So one day he stole both twins blood, using Vitani's human creations as experiments, and the result of his machinations was vampires. And they were a plague on the earth, craving both vitality and death. They promised unending destruction.

And so Vitani created a new species. Venators. And they were the hunters, given a divine purpose. To rid the world of vampires and restore balance.

It was a story Venator Reyna Valeska had known her entire life. Duty and honour. To purge the world of the tainted. Killing vampires was what drove her and sated the hunger within her.

But when the Hawthorne Council give her the deadliest assignment yet, to infiltrate the last kingdom of vampires in the North. She must put her very life and morals on the line.

Her task is simple. Kill King Azrael, the White Demon of the North, the oldest vampire still in existence. And liberate the continent for good.
