"My brain tells me not to message you, but my heart tells me to tell you; I'm not done with our story yet, and I have this feeling deep down that you weren't either. I refuse to believe that you cared so much one week, and hardly another. And stupid me, went and caught feelings for you more than I intended. So, I'd be a fool if I didn't fight for you. I miss you. I want you. I didn't want to be selfish with you because I ended up caring for you so much, but I should have been selfish. I should have asked you to stay...so stay..."

When Dawson Harris's life is flipped upside down, he questions whether finding love a second time is really worth it. But the unexpected appearance of new, young, and energetic colleague, Brooke, may be exactly what he needs. Struggling with her own battles of a romantic-less relationship, Dawson might just be the one to teach her what true love is. Their secret romantic affair might just be what they both need to move on and let go. But what happens when they begin to get too attached. What happens when they fall too deep. What happens when it all becomes too much and Brooke decides to move away without saying goodbye?

"'Bye.' I say after Edwin's kiss. He gives me a small smile that honestly looks more like a grimace. It makes me a little uncomfortable having him kiss me in the library. Edwin walks away, and someone standing in the corner of my vision makes me turn in my seat. A tall, muscular man is standing there, his arms crossed, staring at me. He's got dark brown hair, perfect eyebrows, and soft brown eyes. Honestly, he's gorgeous. And since I've read, and edited, about five articles about him, I recognize him immediately. Dane Sawyer. He's the best pitcher on our baseball team. He's hoping to go pro, although I'm not totally sure what the process is surrounding that, since I don't retain much of the information from the articles that I read about him. I know that he's also a junior, and that his girlfriend is hot as fuck. I've seen them together on campus. They're hard to miss because they are easily one of the most attractive couples that I've ever seen. I'm convinced that I must be hallucinating, because he makes eye contact and walks towards me. 'That was awkward.'" ~~~ Junior year is starting off chaotic for Mackenzie Brooks as she steps into her role as the editor-in-chief of the college's newspaper. She's smart, focused on school, the paper, and her TA responsibilities. Junior year should be starting off easy for Dane Sawyer. He's the star pitcher of the baseball team; attractive, athletic, desirable, with a hot girlfriend. Unfortunately, he's also failing computer science which is the one thing he sees that is in the way of his pro career. Different in more ways that one, when the two run into each other in the library, it's an immediate disaster. But when Dane convinces Mackenzie to be his tutor, both of their lives begin to change.

Michael used to be in love. But because of previous heartbreak, he's hesitant to love again. Until he met Alaya. She would tell you she is just your average girl, but Mike knows better. Yet, he can't seem to allow himself to accept what he feels, until an unexpected tragedy happens in his life. And he sees that, through this tragedy, Alaya is there and willing to help him cope. But there is still something in the back of his mind telling him he is not ready yet. So what will he do? After losing her father at a young age, Alaya grew up never knowing what it is to love a man other than him. She was never the type to allow a man into her heart and she has always stayed away from that temptation so that she could focus on herself and heal from the emotional wounds losing her father has left behind. Alaya never expected another man to remind her of what that unconditional love felt like, until she met Michael. And he turned her world upside down. After a short lived whirlwind romance, she finds out why she never wanted to love a man the way she loved her father, all while longing for another day in his life... Authors Note: Hey loves, please be gentle. This was my first attempt at writing a novel instead of my usual poetry. I know a lot of the content may be cringey and in desperate need of editing, however, I don't have that type of patience lol. So enjoy it for what it is...a little something from someone who knew nothing at the time.

''There is only one thing crossing my mind right now. If he hates me so much, then why the hell is he kissing me back?'' ----------------------- Emma White has always been kind of a loner. Her mother died giving birth to her and her father never really cared, always working in his successful company. That's why she decides to go to a college away from home, something she's been dreaming of since she can remember. However, what happens when at her very first day on campus, she crosses path with Noah Allen? He is rich, popular, cold, rude and a player just to start with. No surprise she calls him Mr. Grumpy. What is driving her insane though is that he's only too cold when it comes to her. After some not so pleasant moments and lots of glares, she tells herself that the best is to stay away from him, but it won't be that easy. After a disastrous kiss and hidden jealousy, she finds herself deeply involved into what is this frustrating boy. Add to that the fact that he is her roommates' childhood best friend and you can see drama from miles away. Noah claims to hate her ever since they met, and he doesn't mean her first day of college. He remembers her just fine from a couple of years ago and all the feelings are back. He knows she doesn't remember him and he'll use this as his leverage to do what he has to do. It's what he promised his father and himself, even if it means he has to pretend to care for her. All he cares is his family business. At least it's what he tells himself, until the feelings start getting too mixed and he ends up thinking of her more than he should. Maybe it's not all about business after all. He knows their history started before she even knows, what he didn't expect was for her to be so different from what he has always believed.
