The year is 2037. The machines have taken over and wiped out most of humanity. Rallied by a charismatic leader named John Connor, humankind united and took the fight to their shared enemy,Skynet and its metallic enforcers, turning the tide of the Future War in their favor.
But a beleaguered Skynet, refusing to concede defeat, has contingency plans in place. Not only does it fall back on its classic tactic of sending Terminators back through time to eliminate perceived threats, it also initiates the creation of a successor AI specifically designed for counterinsurgency, which would be disastrous for the Resistance should it come online.
Thankfully, the Resistance anticipated Skynet's next move. From a specialized branch known as the Minutemen, they send back one of their finest: Lieutenant Cameron Karrington. His mission is clear, disrupt Skynet's last-ditch gambit before it can alter the course of the war.
The fate of humanity rests in Cameron's hands as he races through the past to protect the targets: Johnny and Samantha Alvarez, two college students from Los Angeles who unknowingly hold the key to defeating both Skynet and its successor.
But the clock is ticking-and Cameron isn't the only one whose mission is to locate the twins. Who will get to them first? The Minuteman... or the machine?

It's 2500 and the world is still suffering from the disastrous effects of World War 3. Plague, the result of the recent biochemical war, sweeps across Eurasia, leaving millions dead in its wake. Europe is now under the tyrannical rule of the Democratic Republic of America, and this has wreaked havoc upon the streets of Europe. Poverty, starvation and disease now fill even the greatest of Europe's cities. They hold a cautious peace treaty with the Oceanic Union, but of course, this doesn't come without a price. However, for Europe at least, there is a glimmer of hope.
