How could everything go wrong so fast? One moment, everything was normal, the next a fungal virus made people go crazy and eating each other. The worst part: there was no cure. In a matter of just a few months the virus had spread to every part of the country.
Years after the initial outbreak, two survivors are trying to stay alive and figure out how much they can really trust each other.
Author note: This is heavily inspired and influenced by the last of us. I do not own the last of us or gravity falls or any art and pictures that may be featured in the chapters.

The Gifted
A virus is was what caused our world to break, what caused the good to become the bad. Kids were being hunted down and captured for this gift that was given to them by that virus. It's been seven years. Parents tried to hide them, but they got killed and took the gifted. No child was safe, from five year olds to basically eighteen. It's the apocalypse for us. You can't trust adults. We don't know why they want from us, but I'm willing to do anything to protect my her. Some gifts are stronger than others, some are weaker than others, some are out of their own control. We don't know why the military wants us but, their not getting us. Well, he isolated himself and everyone around him didn't seem to notice. And being alone with one's thoughts doesn't usually end well for anyone, so how will it end up for Dipper? Shortly after their 3rd year of high school ends, their parents think they need some time outside the city, and they send them back to Gravity Falls for the summer.
