Natasha Golding, a spy from the kingdom of Valtoria, has been sent on a mission to spy on Nyxoria, the kingdom they've been in a cold war with for centuries. Will Nyxoria's perpetual gloom and shadows get to her as she tries to balance her job as a spy with her moral compass, or will she just become another unfortunate soul lost to the treacherous kingdom?

❗Yes, I kind of took some of the characters from the video game Grimvalor, I just felt really inspired so I used them in this story. Credits to Direlight games for those designs.❗

62 parts Complete Mature
In a world where survival demands surrender, Nyxielle Winter makes the most reckless choice of her life: she bets on herself. One last time. Condemned to the trenches, staring down a future in the Breeding Wards, where girls and boys are broken and sold to the highest bidder, Nyxielle refuses to become another pawn. Instead, she claws her way into the Vanguard Trials, a brutal training program designed for the kingdom's fiercest soldiers. There's just one problem. She's the only girl. And worse, she's a Hollow. Powerless. Magicless. Alone. Surrounded by Highborns. Among the blooded elite, where strength is survival and loyalty is a deadly currency, Nyxielle should have been crushed. But fate (or something more dangerous) has other plans. When her path collides with Kyven Nightlight, a mysterious rider with shadows behind his smile, Nyxielle learns that some games are rigged long before the first move. At the Warriors and Riders Academy, secrets fester like rot beneath gilded banners. The Riders (those whispered about in fear and reverence) are cloaked in absolute secrecy. No one knows what they are truly trained for. No one dares ask. Their missions are classified. Their loyalty, bound by blood oaths that cannot be broken. And against every law of nature and history... Nyxielle Winter, the powerless Hollow girl, becomes the first of her kind to become a Rider. Torn between a world that despises her and a bond that demands everything, Nyxielle must decide how much of herself she's willing to sacrifice to survive. Or if survival is even enough. In a world of ruthless competition, whispered rebellions, and impossible power, she will find: *A love that terrifies her. *A found family stitched together by scars. *And a destiny she never asked for, but will burn the world to claim. Betrayal is inevitable. Victory is not. But Nyxielle Winter? She's done begging. She'll take everything or will die trying.

6 parts Ongoing Mature

In a city where magic is bound by iron and oaths, Nyx has spent years hunting the things that slip through the cracks - demons, devourers, creatures whispered about in forgotten prayers. She's good at it, until a single mission leaves her bloodied, bound to a voice she can't silence, and staring down a war she doesn't understand. As her orders grow murky and the wards that keep the world safe begin to flicker, Nyx is pulled deeper into a web of old prophecies and older hungers. Every step she takes toward the truth draws her closer to the thing she's sworn to destroy... and to the shadowed figure whose help she can't seem to refuse. Ancient power is waking. The Spire is hollowing. And Nyx may be the last barrier between the world and a hunger older than its name. Please feel free to give constructive criticism. It's been a while since I've been back in the writing game but I got inspired for this.
