Assimilation and How Americans see People of Foreign Cultures

These are fictional people that I created with stories based on actual experiences and events that I discovered when researching my research position essay. Immigrants and children/descendants of immigrants face challenges similar to these in their lives. If they don't act like a 'typical American' then we view them as being very different and strange. Or we may see them as just their culture and not an individual. I represented this by making the characters each a figure from mythology/folklore.
