On August 2nd, 1983, Leslie Holmberg was on her way home from work when a man named Robert Bergeron pulled her into an alleyway and viciously raped her. She was found and brought to the hospital, where she slipped into a coma. Upon waking up from it two weeks later, she was told that the rapist had impregnated her. Leslie was given two options: abort the baby or raise her unborn child. She chose the latter and nine months later, on April 25th, 1984, Leslie gave birth to a baby girl... Fast forward twenty-nine years later. It's 2013, and Sandra Allison Holmberg is a detective for the Manhattan PD. Her mother, Leslie Holmberg, resides in a nursing home in Buffalo, New York, ever since she awoke from her coma all those years ago. Sandra is happy, but it all changes when her mother is murdered in her room at the nursing home. And the main suspect is a man named Robert Bergeron... Drawn back into the past her mother refused to talk about, Sandra plays a dangerous game in order to find her father and finally make him pay for his actions. Too bad Sandra has no idea what she's getting into...
