My hands shake as I dial the number written sloppily on a sticky note taped to the fridge. It wasn't like my mom to up and leave the way she did, and I needed answers.
The phone rings a few times before a deep voice picks up. "Dean Winchester."
"Um, hi, I'm hoping you can help me," I start, fiddling with the phone cord, and praying my mom had left the right number. "My mom's missing, and she left your number here for me."
The other side of the phone is dead silent, and for a second, I thought the man had hung up, but I was too scared to say anything else.
Finally, the silence breaks. "Then let's help you get your mom back."
