Slapshots to my heart

Y/n Rogers never imagined that going to a hockey game could turn her entire world upside down.

At age 20, she's a proficient traveling nurse with little time for anything else besides her career. But when her older brother, Steve, invites her to one of his hockey games she'll actually be able to make, she agrees only at the chance to see her brother again and hops on a very long train ride to make it happen.

She watches the game and her brother, happy to see him happy, and happy to be able to see him once more.

That is until she meets Bucky Barnes.

A foward on Steve's hockey team, the Brooklyn Blizzards and as annoying as one can possibly get. They instantly can't stand each other- and that's putting it nicely. Bucky's got a reputation of being a playboy and cocky, and Y/n's quick wit and sharp tongue only adds fuel to the fire. He's the very thing she wanted to avoid when she was visiting Brooklyn and now she seems to be stuck with one.

But what happens when Y/n gets sick, there's thunderstorms, and the anger fade? Will the hatred turn into something else or will their differences keep them on opposite sides?

Because sometimes the hardest shot is the one that hits closest to the heart.
