For as long as Emberlyn Marlowe could remember, summer meant one thing - Cousins Beach.

Every June, without fail, she and her family would load up the car, windows down, singing along to old songs on the radio, chasing the familiar magic of three golden months spent by the ocean.

Waiting for them there were the Fishers and the Conklins - two families who had become just as much a part of her world as her own blood.

To Emberlyn, the summer house wasn't just a place.
