"POTTER!!" Malfoy jumped between the oncoming slaughter of creatures, giants- elves- it was an undecipherable horde of brethren. The hawthorn wand that once belonged to the blonde skittered across in the air, ending up in the hand of Harry once again.
___________
"YOU TRAITOR-" Bellatrix's voice ringed among the crowd, the familiar green curse slippering from the end of her wand, hitting Draco in the square of his chest.

The seconds ticked, and everyone around watched with bated breath how a scream ripped through Harry's chest, his body limping in the middle of the chaos, his knees finally giving up, his corpse bursting into a stroke of bright light, a burning hot glow that reduced everything in it's wake to mere ash.
In the middle of the explosion laid a single body, the savior of the magical world was dead, not by a curse to the head, not by possessions or basilisks, not by hunger or by losing his magic, his soul splintered, searching for its counterpart, screaming in the eternal flames of nothingness.

A BITTERSWEET CHANCE: BOOK 1
THE PEVERELL LEGACY
"Death Becomes Us."
___________________
A Bittersweet Chance is a story that revolves around a strange pair of boys, because who in their right minds would think Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter can be anything less than cut-thorat enemies?
Now add in a soul bond that even Death can
Draco Malfoy and Aurora Everglen, two dangerously different people in comparison were bound to not get along.
Draco Malfoy tries to the best of his abilities to conceal whatever growing feelings he feels for the girl. He doesn't know why exactly he has developed feelings for the polar opposite of him. A boy like him who's only ever learned to conceal never knows how to handle these emotions. Pushing these feelings away is the only reasonable remedy in a circumstance like this in his book. There was no way he was falling for her. He'd have to catch himself before he fell.
How he conceals them, you ask? Knowing the notorious Draco, you may guess already. He feigns hate towards her. With any chance he gets, he tries to make her feel bad, as if it was her fault that he had fallen for her. He tries to keep up with this façade, trying to make himself believe the hatred he supposedly holds for her.
Aurora never seemed to like Draco either. She was content with the people surrounding her, she didn't need him invading her space just to make fun of her all the time. He has made her feel a lot of things, and attraction to him was most definitely not one of them. She remains oblivious as to why he 'hates' her so much, but she knew she hated him too.
Again, both of them are the opposite of each other, while one clings to her temperate demeanour, the other reserves a cold. But what will happen when both of them discover they indeed do have a lot more in common then they believe?
The clock's relentless ticking and the looming war pit them on opposing sides, their divided loyalties make an already impossible situation even more fraught.
