After the war, Hermione found herself returning to Hogwarts for her eighth year. It was technically a redo of her seventh year, but McGonagall had decided to group the returning adults together as a way to unify the students. She was to be in charge of the acquitted former Death Eater, but it's not only McGonagall's trust in her as to why she was enlisted with this task. Hermione had become a social pariah after the Daily Prophet wrote a headline article about her curse. 
    
The war changed everybody, but Draco Malfoy seems just as broken as herself. Together they are forced to share a dorm and be partners in the new H.O.P.E. class. A wolf in sheep's clothing. A gazelle pretending to be a lion. When she looks at her reflection she sees a stranger, but when she looks into his eyes, she sees home. He feels guilt for the things he's done, but she makes him see that not everything is black and white. Shades of grey exist. They can't seem to fit the broken pieces of their old selves back into place, but maybe it's because they're suppose to fit to one another.All Rights Reserved
