Maya Adams has always striven to reach everyone's expectations. Her life was set the moment she was born. Maya was suppose to go to medical school and become a cardiologist just like her father. She constantly put others needs before her own. The only person who truly knew her was her grandmother.
Jacob Anderson never had a purpose. He always went with the flow and walked aimlessly through life. His only goal was to have fun and party.
These two complete opposites accidentally bump into each other. In the process, they switch bags. Maya and Jacob have possession of each others diaries.
As the story unravels, little by little they slowly get to know one another through each others diary.
