Life for Renna was smooth sailing, and relatively peaceful-until everything changed. Everything was peaceful, her schedule perfect. Renna would wake up, have a homemade breakfast, go to school, then spend the entirety of it hanging out with her best friend, Kat. She had good grades, a nice house, loving parents, a fluffy cuddle buddy, and a best friend to die for. Then, one day after school-the one time Renna could be there with her-Kat was in a fatal car wreck. After that, everything changed. Nothing is right anymore. Renna lost her favorite person, and a part of her. When the rest of Renna's life spirals out of control as well, she's left wondering what's real, and what's even possible to get back. When turmoil and ashes present themselves around her, she has to decide how far she's willing to go to make things right in a place that isn't even her home. How much is she willing to sacrifice for something that's not her responsibility?

Mila's parents are moving to melbourne and she wants out . Jonah needs help or he's gonna flunk college. So the two decide to start fake dating and eventually fake an engagement so her parents leave without her .In turn, she helps Jonah graduate college. It's a win win. Or is it? Mila~ One year. That's all I've given myself. One year to pretend I'm fine, to laugh when I'm breaking, to love him in silence before I'm gone. Because Jonah makes me feel things I swore I'd never let myself feel again-like hope, like warmth, like the terrifying possibility of forever. And that's why I can't stay. Because if I let myself fall completely, I'll shatter both of us when the year ends. Jonah~ She thinks she can keep me at arm's length. That her sharp words and slammed doors will make me give up. But I see her. I see every crack she tries to hide, every storm she walks into alone. Mila thinks she's running out of time. But I'm not letting her go-not when she's the only thing I've ever wanted to fight for. What if the person you hated most was the only one who could save you? Mila is seventeen and tired. Tired of fighting, tired of pretending, tired of believing she'll ever be enough. She's convinced she's unlovable and wants to end it all -until Jonah crashes into her world like an unwanted storm. He's loud, reckless, impossible. She's quiet, guarded, done. But life doesn't care that they're opposites. Somehow, they keep getting thrown together-and somehow, it starts to matter. As the chaos of growing up threatens to break them and secrets from their families threaten to uproot them, Mila and Jonah might just learn that love doesn't always look like what you expect... and that sometimes, the right person is the one you never saw coming. * new chapters every saturday*
