Mateo Javier Ignacio Santiago leads an exceptional life as Mavi or M.J. while inheriting leadership of Santiago Corporation. The book lover Mavi understands the complexities of love and familial difficulties because he bears a heavy burden from his dysfunctional family background. The journey towards being an attorney demands from him a confrontation of his emotional state while accepting the university's admiration for his handsome looks.

The eldest Vermilion sibling Jovany Alejandro Rodriguez Vermilion demonstrates talents in chess and academic excellence. As the family's main support player Jovany works to reach his businessman aspirations despite his cumbersome belief in self-importance and focus on himself. The expectations burden on Jovany become heavier because his brother James admires him deeply.

These three friends who intersect in their lives need to overcome adolescent challenges and deal with romantic circumstances while working toward their individual aspirations.
