In a world where Beyblades are the most sought-after toy among kids to play with and have tournaments with, there are a select few groups of individuals and Beyblades that harness great power, capable of reshaping the entire world. Among these are the Dragon Clans, sects that worship dragons as demigods. Even though these clans differ significantly when it comes to which dragons they worship as well as what their core set of ideals is, they all agree on one thing: The Prophecy. In this prophecy, once every few hundred years, a human being is born who is the reincarnation of one of the many dragon demigods and will possess a dragon Beyblade, L-Drago, that is so powerful that he or she will be able to rule the world as the Dragon Emperor.  It has been over 300 years since the last Dragon Emperor walked among mortals, and just like always, the Dragon Clans became skeptical if there would be another Dragon Emperor.
