Shoulder To Shoulder

In 2023, Simon was a two year English professor at the Laguna Creek Academic Department. He was known to be a cold, mean, and demanding teacher. It was now 2025 and he was now a four year professor. The morning of the welcoming for new academia students who were aged around 22-24 years old came around. Simon couldn't help but scoff at the fact people this age would want to study English Literature. He was about to walk out of his office after adjusting his appearance, when all of a sudden, someone nudged him in his shoulder. It was a woman with honey shiny hair and hazel eyes. Not a word was spoken, they just kept walking along. As the year goes on, they tend to keep bumping into each other shoulder to shoulder. Was this a way of the universe trying to say something?
