She forgot him. But he never forgot her. And now that he's found her again-he won't let go.

Rosalie Hayes rebuilt her life from the ashes-now a rising star in international law, she's far from the broken girl she used to be. Her past is buried, her memories locked away. But the past has a name.

Ryder Black.

The man she once knew in the dark. The boy with bruised knuckles and a burning soul who promised her forever-before she disappeared without a word.

Now, he's back. But she belongs to someone else now-on paper. Ryder doesn't care. She was his before she knew it. And she'll be his again, even if he has to unravel her entire world to remind her.

And he'll do anything to bring it all back.

She belongs to him. She always did.
"You don't remember, do you?" Ryder murmured, his voice silk over steel as he stepped into her space. "The nights. The promises. What you begged me for."

Rosalie's throat tightened. Her back met the hotel room wall with a soft thud. Her fingers curled at her sides. "I don't know what you're talking about."

His smirk was slow, dark, devastating. "Your body does."

One hand slid to her waist, firm and possessive.
"Tell me to stop," he whispered, his lips a whisper from hers.

But she didn't. Couldn't.

And when he kissed her-God, when he took her mouth-it was like waking a sleeping beast inside her. A kiss that wasn't a kiss at all but a claim. Ryder kissed like a man picking up where he left off. As if the years between them had only been seconds.

And Rosalie knew something terrifying in that moment:

A part of her remembered.

And it wanted more.

Sophie Jameson was once the girl who lit up every room. Big laugh. Bigger smile. Always the first to spill the gossip and the last to leave the party. Until Brad. He was charming at first. Sweet. The kind of guy who made her believe in fairytales-until he showed her a very different side. A cruel side. A violent side. The side that left Sophie bruised, guarded, and questioning everything she thought she knew about love. Now she doesn't trust easily. Doesn't let people close. The spark that once defined her is gone. Enter Dylan Matthews. Defenseman for the Titans. The team flirt. Loud, playful, golden-retriever energy wrapped up in hockey gear. He's the boy who never stops chirping, never stops smiling-and somehow, he notices the girl who's forgotten how to. Sophie doesn't think she's ready for someone like Dylan. Someone who wears his heart on his sleeve. Someone who looks at her like she's still the girl she used to be. But the more time she spends with him-and with Grace, who refuses to let her slip away-the more Sophie begins to remember that she isn't broken. She's healing. She's laughing again. She's falling. And maybe, just maybe, Dylan Matthews is the one who can remind her what love is supposed to feel like. A story of heartbreak, healing, friendship, and the kind of love that mends even the deepest wounds-Mending On Ice will break your heart, then piece it back together.

When Ella Gillard finds her high school sweetheart across the country and in bed with another girl during her freshman year, she makes a promise to herself to never date another hockey player--no matter how tempting it may be. Law school is complicated enough without the distraction of a relationship. But her plan proves to be difficult when she's met with the very persuasive goalie of the Fenton Falcons. Fenton University's hockey team is full of pre-game rituals, and their starting goaltender, Hendrix Tate, is as superstitious as they come. When the team's losing streak is broken after he finds Ella's bracelet minutes before a vital mid-season game, Hendrix is adamant on keeping his good luck charm around. Especially with his position being threatened by the team's new pickup. The question is will Ella break her promise to herself or shut him out? Bella's POV I hated the way his voice cracked on that last word. Because it wasn't just Ryder asking me to talk-it was Ryder asking me not to shut him out. Ryder, who'd been in my life since before I knew what heartbreak even was. Ryder, who'd carried my secrets, my laughter, my tears. And now... this. I opened my mouth, closed it, then whispered, "Everything feels different." His brows furrowed. "Different how?" "You," I breathed. "Me. Us. Sunday happened and now I can't stop thinking about it, and it scares me, Ryder. Because if this changes us, I don't know if I can handle it." βΈ» Ryder's POV The ache in her voice nearly undid me. I stepped closer, rain starting to spit lightly from the sky, cool drops landing on my hoodie. "You think it hasn't changed me?" I said, my voice low, rough. "Bella, I haven't thought about anything else since Sunday. Not practice. Not the game. Nothing. Just you." Her eyes snapped to mine, wide and uncertain. The drizzle grew heavier, pattering against the pavement, clinging to her hair. "Ryder..." she whispered. "I don't care if it's scary," I said, my chest heaving. "I don't care if it changes everything. Because it's always been you, Bella. Always." And then-before she could argue, before my fear could choke me-I closed the space between us and kissed her. ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ "More Than a Name: The Ryder Lyons Story." Book 1 of the Jackson Series! Ella finally gets an opportunity to escape the clutches of her cruel tormentor before fate leads her to Ryder Jackson. Broken and bruised, she soon finds comfort in Ryder who is equally as hesitant to wear his heart on his sleeve. Both have pasts that they just want to forget and souls that need healing. Will they be able to move on together or will history catch up to them? *** I smile shyly and move closer to his face as my eyes sneak a peek at his lips. Meeting his gaze that has darkened with desire I curl my fingers around his collar and pull him closer. "Now, are you going to kiss me?" "Yes." He nods before leaning in until his lips are a breath away. I pull back which makes him groan in frustration. "Promise to never let me go?" It happens in a blur. His lips descend on mine in a hungry yet passionate kiss filled with longing. I whimper softly when his teeth bite down on my bottom lip and coax me to give in. And, I do. His tongue meets mine as we explore each other, tasting and savoring. I tangle my fingers in his hair and tug slightly which makes him kiss me feverishly. It's like he almost doesn't want this moment to end no matter how much air is becoming a matter of priority. I pull away first, dazed still. He follows and his lips trail over the heated skin of my neck, kissing across my jawline, teasing the corner of my lips before nibbling on my earlobe. I'm a mess as I crave more of his addictive touch. I feel like I'm flying. "I promise to never let you go, Ella." "I love you," she uttered in what seemed to be an unaudible whisper. "But I'm no competition to her." Her heart breaks even more knowing what they had would end the moment he wakes up. She continued to caress his face with her ever so delicate fingers. "Stay." Her heart raced more than it already is hearing one word out of his sleep. He looked so torn. She was debating to herself if she'd take heed to his unconscious plea when the most painful thing came next. "Veronica...I..." "Sshh," she hushed him not wanting to hear the words she longed him to say to her. "Sleep." Her voice crack as tears flow from the realization hitting her. She looked up to the portrait of the perfect couple just above his bed. They looked so happy, so carefree, so perfect with his arms around her, his chin resting on her left shoulder. Just that and it shattered her already broken heart. How she wished it was her. Unfortunately, her name is not Veronica, she couldn't be her and never will be. She was a very beautiful woman contrasting to her being an ordinary girl. She watched his torned face calmed, his tensed body limped, his labored breath evens, making sure he deeply succumbs to unconsciousness before stealing a peck on his dry lips. She let her lips linger a little longer before pulling herself up. "Goodbye, Xand," she whispered into the air before turning her heels out with an intention of not coming back into his life.
