Mature
In a future where the original Spider-Man walked away from the mask after losing everything, a new generation rises.
Dylan Drake never wanted to be a hero - but when tragedy strikes, he realizes the world still needs Spider-Man.
Armed with nothing but his mutant gifts, raw determination, and a prototype suit barely holding together, Dylan fights to survive in a city that fears him, corporations that want him dead, and criminals that remember a time when Spider-Man was unstoppable.

Mentored - and sometimes doubted - by the original Peter Parker, Dylan Drake must prove that the symbol of Spider-Man is bigger than one man, one suit, or even one lifetime.

Because when the city falls apart, the people don't just need a hero.
They need a Spider-Man.

THE LOST GENERATION After being bitten by a genetically engineered spider, young Peter Parker finds that he now has incredibly enhanced strength, speed and agility. Along with the ability to adhere to any surface, a precognitive spider-sense that warns him of danger and a pair of mechanized web shooters, the idealistic teenager fights against evil as the costumed hero Spider-Man. Set during the decade of the 1990's, this is a Generation X version of the Amazing Spider-Man story. This is a time when young people believed that they had the power to change the world for the better. In order to make a difference, Peter will need to rely on his friends for help and have the courage to believe in good. LAST ISSUE: The forces of good strike back. Over the course of the last six months, the police and a pair of determined vigilantes fight to keep New York safe from Wilson Fisk's criminal organization. Hoping to put the final nail in the Kingpin's coffin, Daredevil infiltrates his secret meeting. For the first time ever, the man without fear confronts his hated enemy face to face. It is a brutal fight that results in the brave hero suffering a gruesome injury. Now, the city seems more vulnerable than ever. Battling against the enigmatic Mysterio, Spider-Man defeats this dangerous villain. During the conflict, the master of illusions is unexpectedly killed. To make matters worse, Felicia Hardy is injured by gunfire and needs to be taken to a nearby hospital. This leaves Peter Parker wondering if he can keep people safe. All of a sudden, his stress and anxiety gets the better of him. Now, he decides to quit being Spider-Man. Without the wall crawler, what chance does New York have of ridding itself of crime?

❝ Sometimes I think. Sometimes I don't. It depends on who I am. ❞ ❝ You, Diana Bennet, are the most fearless person I have ever met. ❞ * * * Diana Bennet can't figure out if her powers are a blessing or a curse. Diana was never a dark, mysterious person. But at night, that was the basis of her persona. With the power to control darkness, mixed with whatever substance she was hit with behind a warehouse, sneaking up on criminals was easy. But just as she was getting the hang of heroism, some random guy called Spider-man shows up in her neighbourhood and absorbed half of the crime right up. That left Diana with more free time that she'd like. But that meant it left her time to be her normal, yearbook-clubbing, hippie, Spanish-quiz failing self, and to reveal all the quirks that followed suit. Yearbook was the best for Diana- it was her getting involved, so it made her sister happy, and it was her taking pictures, so it made her happy too. And when paired with Peter Parker, Diana's intriguing, eccentric lab partner to take photos of upcoming school events, she finds out that happiness can come in more ways than one. Meeting Peter, on a totally unrelated note, made Diana's world flip and connect at the same time. Who was this kid, really? And why was he so... familiar? * * * WORLD'S SLOWEST BURN -- highest rank- 1 in #queens and #mcuoc ! (how? beats me) book two may be published here when finished, but the continued version can be found on my profile apolloshalo, on archive of our own, or fanfiction.net.

[Sequel to Hanging by a Thread] [Book 2 in the Alex Wallace series] *Pre-Dates Infinity War* Normally, people would be happy that Spring Break was approaching. Zoom in on Peter Parker. He hasn't spoken to Tony Stark since he'd found out the billionaire had wiped his aunt's memory of him being Spider-Man. And now that she knew for good, it had taken all of his negotiating skills to convince her to let him keep web slinging. But now he was ignoring Tony Stark, and no matter how Alexandra or Ned tried to persuade him to talk to his mentor, Peter just wouldn't have it. So now, Peter is basically flying blind without Iron Man there to guide him through the world of being a superhero. At least Peter has his friends to help him. But that whole thing about ignoring Tony Stark? It gets a bit harder when his shop teacher decides that the perfect field trip is to the Stark compound in Manhattan. Could it get much worse? The answer is always yes.
