Jungwon froze in the doorway, heart lurching in his chest. Ha-rin stood in the dim light-bruised, bloodied, but breathing. Alive.

They had been apart for days, ripped away from each other in the chaos. He had searched every building, every scream, every shadow hoping-praying-that she was still out there.

Now she was. He didn't think. He ran. When they collided, it was desperate-arms locked tight, bodies trembling from everything they'd been through. She smelled like dust and smoke, her fingers digging into his back like she couldn't believe he was real. He pulled back just enough to see her face, to trace the dried blood, the dark circles, the exhaustion. But her eyes were still hers-still burning with that quiet fire he had fallen in love with.
Without a word, he kissed her. It was a soft, broken thing at first. But then she leaned in, and everything they'd held back-the fear, the anger, the aching hope-spilled into it. They were still kissing when a voice cut through the heavy silence.

"Okay, seriously?" Jiho stood at the door, arms crossed. "We're still in a nightmare, by the way."

Jungwon pressed his forehead to Ha-rin's, a breath of laughter escaping. Not safe. Not yet. But together.
