During the Third and Final Purging Trial, Adena was taken from her position as Paedyn's seamstress and taken hostage by Edric Azer. With her hands bound behind her back and broken fingers, she was rather helpless. There she lay, in the middle of the Bowl, beside her best friend. She had only one regret, not saying "I love you" to her greatest love.
Makoto Khitan watched everything happen. Utterly helpless. He had not believed he could expirience love until he met her. Now she is with the stars, and he is still here. He will not give up for her though. No, he will avenge her death.
