They sat at the edge of the pier, feet dangling above the water. " I'm sorry." he said, after some silence. "You have nothing to be sorry for." I said. The emotions kept drowning my thoughts, making it hard to even look at him. " You can't run away from this." "Why not?" I said, my voice cracking. It was silent for sometime, the rolling waves crashing against the rocks, filling the silence. He finally looked at her, tears spilling down his face. " Because I won't let you."

 16 year old Samantha Ross's life was simple to everyone: Surf, School, and the Kewalo Basin Marine Mammal Lab in Honolulu, which her father owns. When a tragic accident happens, just when all hope has drowned. She sees her salvation, holding a bucket of fish.
