**for beta readers only** The fourth installment in the Song of the Crickets series. After surviving the fire that killed his stepfather, sixteen-year-old Damien is left with no family, no answers, and a memory that won't explain how he made it out alive. Taken in by a mysterious man named Mel, Damien is brought to a hidden town in the Romanian wilderness-a sanctuary for werewolves, witches, hybrids, and other outcasts like himself. But as he begins to heal and settle into this strange new world, Damien uncovers a truth more terrifying than any monster: he is the son of the archangel Michael. When a cosmic entity known as the Whisperman begins haunting the woods and driving people mad, Damien discovers it's not a monster, but a lost being desperate to return home. Defying his mentors and risking the fragile peace of the village, Damien chooses compassion over fear and sets out to build a portal to send the creature back-knowing it may cost him everything. What begins as a mission of mercy soon spirals into a battle for the soul of the world, and Damien, caught between heaven, hell, and something far stranger, must decide not just what he is... but who he's willing to become.

[Creepypasta x F. Reader] Vacations are often considered relaxing; a rare opportunity to unwind and do things that are enjoyable, whether that's spending time with family or being alone. When sixteen-year-old Y/n visits her grandparents in Alabama after many years of being unwillingly cut out of their lives, that's precisely what she intends to do. Over the course of her time there, she gets reacquainted, reliving the shadows of childhood that once evaded her memories, and tries to forget all of her troubles amidst a place overflowing with comfort, warmth, and love. This hope unravels when a paranormal entity takes an interest in her, and she soon begins to suffer daunting symptoms that are directly linked to a mysterious illness. Before our young protagonist even knows it, she's been swept away to a cryptic settlement nestled deep in the woods by a group of Tim Burton-esque strangers who lack common courtesy and have no problem getting blood on their hands. She's told that she's in danger and must learn to block out the influence of what they call 'Slenderman'-a wicked creature with a lust for humankind and control-before she becomes a mindless shell devoted to its wishes like so many others before her. Mixed into a foreign world crawling with unspeakable abominations, her morals are challenged, her sanity walks the line, and she must fight for every breath if she wants to defeat this evil and return to her dear grandparents in one piece.
