The Lan brothers have risen as ruthless titans of Macau's casino empire, ruling over three major properties with wealth and power that crush competition. The other great clans remain, reimagined as elite casino families deeply tied to politics, legacy, and the underworld. (The Jiang Clan, notably, runs the prestigious Lotus Pier hotel chain - no casinos, but just as much influence.)
