Romance
The summer party was supposed to be harmless-music spilling into the night, laughter rising like sparks into the warm air-but for Bailey, it became the moment everything quietly shifted. Beneath the string lights and careless smiles, something unraveled inside her, a truth she had tried too long to ignore. Later, in the stillness of the house, she makes a wrong turn and pushes open a bathroom door she shouldn't. Yoshi stands there-unexpected, unbothered, infuriatingly familiar. The air tightens between them, charged not with surprise, but history. Their words fall into an old rhythm of sharp wit and half-hidden meaning, each line edged with everything they never resolved. Bailey insists she's moved on. Yoshi doesn't believe her. And as the night stretches on, it becomes clear that distance is harder to keep when the past still lingers-close enough to touch.

She's just turned eighteen-restless, curious, and far too aware of the man who's always been in the background of her life. He's her father's best friend-recently divorced, emotionally bruised, and old enough to know better. At a summer backyard barbecue, one accidental touch changes everything. A spark. A look. A moment neither of them can shake. What begins as tension builds into something dangerous-something they're both too scared to name. Because some lines should never be crossed. But some desires don't care. A slow-burn, age-gap romance wrapped in heat, heartache, and the ache of forbidden want.
