Hard to Handle

Scarlet doesn't need anyone's help-especially not the grinning, golden cowboy who's taken up too much space on her grandfather's ranch. After a mistake she won't talk about and a past she can't quite outrun, Scarlet's come home to lay low and keep her distance. But that's easier said than done when Mark is everywhere she turns: fixing fences, flashing dimples, and challenging her at every step.

Mark's used to keeping up a good front-laidback, reliable, always smiling. But there's more to him than what he lets slip between Southern charm and calloused hands. And when it comes to Scarlet, he's never met someone so stubborn, so frustrating... or so impossible to ignore.

Thrown together by bad timing and long days under the sun, Scarlet and Mark dance around attraction, resentment, and the slow unraveling of everything they thought they knew-about each other, and themselves. But when sparks fly and secrets surface, will their connection be enough to hold on to, or will pride and pain push them too far apart?
