3 years into the worst pandemic outbreak ever recorded, things still seemed to be getting worse. Experts refused comment, responding only when death rate percentages spiked, causing rumors of its origin. The worst had only just begun when the virus began to mutate, becoming airborne, and causing severe symptoms. It could be spread by touching, breathing, exposed wounds, and even our water supply. 5 years in, An ex-researcher of the virus records a message to the world telling them she'd made a cure but has been infected for too long to be saved, giving instructions on where to find it before she died. Many people are selfish and don't like to share, they'll do anything for that cure. Others want to make it wide spread to help as many people as possible. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus.
