"Yes. I pinky promise, best friends forever."
That's the promise that Jocelyn (Jo) and her best friend, Deshawn (D/ Dee/ Shawn), made when they were 5.
That was the same promise that bonded them and kept them together...that was until they were 14, and he just up and moved without telling her anything. She lost her everything- her pride, joy, and worst of all, her other half.
She grows to learn how to live without him, but what happens when he comes back? Will she be able to truly live?
