With the creation of the clone army and the rising loss of Jedi, Maya Greatstorm, Chief of the Jedi Guards, is called back into war, forced to take up the role of a War General once again, just as she did years ago in her homeworld.
Meanwhile, young adept Khaarsh Velt awaits the Trials that will place him under a Jedi Master's guidance. Eager for action and adventure, he's surprised-and more than a little frustrated when he's assigned to Master Greatstorm, whose cold and commanding presence is the last thing he expected.
Commander Soren, leader of the 171st Battalion, doesn't know what to expect from the new General. But Maya's quiet intelligence and tactical skill quickly earn his respect. Over time, they become one of the most effective General-Commander duos in the Republic.
Now, as the Clone War spreads through the galaxy, the Jedi are pushed to their limits, and must find a way to win before everything falls apart.
