Vessel's lives and breathes empathy. When she touches anyone, she absorbs all of their physical and mental agony and repurposes it as energy, numbing the wounded. Caring for a person more means feeling their pain more, so when Vessel numbs those she loves, she becomes the most dangerous person on the planet.
When a trip to Washington pushes her away from her mentor and past her breaking point, she's forced into the orbit of Mark; and for the first time in her life, she has a choice: the man who shaped her, or the one who might finally understand her.

(I started writing this story when I first discovered Invincible in May of 2025. Since then, I'd gone on to finish my undergrad in creative writing, and focused on other writing projects, leaving this one behind. Season four reignited my inspiration for Vessel so I came back and made many changes to the writing itself. If you've already read the older version: don't fret! The underlying story will remain the same, but I do encourage you to reread if you enjoyed it, because it'll definitely have way more going on)!

The Girl Who Made Life Worth Living
Finn has been the man of the house since he was a child. Simply surviving, he doesn't want any more responsibility than he's already burdened with at 18 - until he helps a mysterious abused girl he met near his new workplace. His caring and protective nature quickly brings her into his life but their budding relationship falls apart just as fast, until an incident and the subsequent events make them slowly come back together. Later, when Finn loses the only other thing he cares about in life he's faced with the choice of driving her away or being vulnerable enough to depend on her. Maybe she can finally make him feel taken care of back; the one thing that he's always truly needed. A more mature and healthy rewrite of a book I started writing when I was 14, inspired by the trashy, dramatic, emo love stories I was obsessed with on this platform a decade ago. I was dealing with a lot at the time so I came up with this book idea, where both main characters have dramatized aspects of myself in them, as a way to make myself feel lovable, so writing this now is a nostalgic and creative way of looking back, processing, and letting go of the emotions I was going through as an adolescent. I hope you enjoy! Shards and Agony (Cancelled until further notice.)
THIS IS CANCELLED. I couldn't figure out my writing style and I rushed into making it. Simple as that. I'm currently focusing on rewriting another story, well, the plot at least. I'm only going to be releasing the prologue as a surprise for reaching 200 followers. The rest of that rewrite will probably be released later 2026. But yeah, the earliest I'm getting back to this fic is 2 years. Even then I'm probably just going to straight up kill it. When you think of fire you usually think of, well, fire. The red hot plasma from a campfire, on torches, or what happens when a forest comes into contact with it. Hell, maybe even the literal burning ball of gas we hate yet need so much in the sky. So what other "fire" could there possibly be? Well, what about the flames of ambition. The kindle of love and comfort. The blaze that is rage, and more. What do they all have in common? They need fuel, and an ignition. Something to start the fire and something to feed it. Both could be anything. It could be an ember on wood, an inspiration on spirit, the list goes on. Another thing that they all have in common is that they will consume the fuel until there is nothing left to feed on. Wether it be fragments, shards of what once was, down to the soul. It all turns to ash to be fuel for the next generation. But that doesn't mean everything is consumed right away. The embers take their time. To enjoy themselves a little longer lest they snuff themselves out from rush. Although, sometimes they can be impatient and leave somethings intact or untouched. Well, it just so happens that the flames were a bit overzealous with a feast and left a survivor. Said survivor has retired and is heading towards a quiet place called Beach City to leave behind the ashes of his past. At least it would be quiet if it weren't for a boy and three sentient rocks being trouble magnets!! I don't own any pictures, music, or videos used in this story.
