Keep it Casual
She's lived the last 20 years trying not dwell on the traumatic hardships of her past as they constantly replay in the back of her mind. Made a promise to live a full (semi carefree) life, spreading love and joy, all the while never wanting (more like fearing) anything permanent. It can feel lonely, but it's how she's always coped. And with his own hardships, he's not looking for anything other than to have a good time and celebrate with old friends on their new chapter in life. Somewhat acquainted due to mutual friends from back in the wonderfully exciting years of puberty and teenage drama, two young adults reconnect in a new kind of way. Deeper and more complex than they could ever prepare themselves for. Keeping things casual is a lot easier said than done. The real question is, do they want to? ---------------------------------------------------------- "No te preocupes, Princesa. I won't spill the tea." He winks then takes a step closer towards the other man. "But we're gonna have to have a little... Talk. Man to man." The 25 year old woman is right there blocking the young mechanic as he takes a few menacing steps forwards, again. He then lets out a breathy laugh at the worried look on the young woman's face. Looking towards the slight older man, eyes locked on his every movement, Rio mangages to speak between his menacing laughter. Said laughter coming out light and amused at first, but then turns into such twisted amusement it causes a spike of anxiety in the younger woman. It's almost like it's all a sick joke to him at the moment. "...Uh, I- I ain't- I ain't- I ain't gonna kill nobody." He chuckles as he looks around at no one in particular with a twinkle in his eyes, taking a deep breath. "Nah, man. But this little... Fling... Y'all got going on... Fo' sure. Most definitely."

In year xxxx scientists decided to experiment on something new. They buy people on black market and created an unknown liquid to inject on them. After sacrificing hundreds of people for the unknown liquid to keep evolving after some test something happened that scientists themselves will call impossible. A hybrid. "A human with animal ears and tail?!" " we'll become millionaire if we sell them to black market! People will bet thousands of their money to buy one of this creatures. " " We'll just make sure the government won't know about this. " After some years of selling different kind of hybrids the government eventually know of this. They plan on stopping this kind of transactions but it's already too late. People falling in love and mating with their hybrids causing it's population to increase. The scientist's payed their crime in jail and got their head slashed off their own body. Government approve that people can take care of hybrids but can be sentenced to being put in jail for a life time if known of abusing them. Everything sounds peaceful now aren't it? No. M/n after a stressful day on his school just wanted to lay down on his bed while sipping on his hot chocolate as he watched the rain poured down on his window. But when a male neko around his age knocked on his door drenched in rain, shivering and bruised, he just need the urge to cry why things keep happening and when it happens it just need to bother him. " C-can y-y-you p-please s-s-shelter m-me? T-the h-houses I've g-gone s-s-said t-they d-don't h-have a-a p-place to s-spare f-for a l-l-living t-t-trash l-like m-me. P-please it's so c-cold. A-at least just for o-one n-n-night, p-please m-mister... " Despite of his constant stuttering, shivering and sniffing M/n understand it. Meaning he understand too that a 19 years old like him have to take a responsibility of this neko in front of him. ~ But what if the neko isn't the only one he'll need to take care of, but a certain owl too?Complete

Dead is not all rainbows and butterflies. It's not 'better than living'. You are not 'free' or 'better off'. You're just not. So what is it like? Think of it as the ultimate game of tag. One Grim Reaper after another, and if you're caught, you die...again. But what if you suddenly fall head over heels for someone who hates you? What if he tries to kill you? What if you are partnered with him to capture a serial killer? I'd like to know the answers to those questions too. Maybe I'll find some light in all this darkness. Or, maybe, nothing will turn out the way I want. Maybe I'll be killed. Maybe I'll die again. Maybe I'll be rejected. That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise.
