Cursed to be a Monster

Thousands of years ago, Prometheus created the humans, giving them the fire of life. Zeus, enraged by this act, did everything he could to get rid of them. He chained Prometheus to a rock in the Underworld, his body to be scarred by vultures for eternity. Hoping that the new creatures would fade away after their creator had vanished, he was disappointed to find that it wasn't so. Humanity thrived greatly and advanced, it's population growing. In a last attempt to change fate, Zeus traveled to cave of Echidna. Echidna and Zeus bore the new predators of humanity: Ghouls. Over a millennia later, the information of a new species reached the ears of Prometheus. For years, he threatened war, but could do nothing about it unless he was free. He was utterly hopeless. That was, until he was released by an unknown supporter. Long after, Nico di Angelo is still wondering how he was dragged into the middle of it all.
