Three months ago, Megan found a genie. Two weeks ago, he was stolen away from her. Now, her best friend Jen is in charge of that bottle - and of Jake. Jen used to barely tolerate Jake, but the longer she controls the bottle, the closer the two appear to become. Megan tells herself she isn't jealous, but Jen's boyfriend, Greg, might be. He's starting to realize that something is fundamentally wrong in his world. Since no one can give him an explanation, his suspicions are only growing, threatening to expose everything.

To make matters worse, Megan's found another genie who seems to loathe her. She hates to say it, but he seems just a little bit evil. No matter what she tries, all her efforts to get him to warm up to her seem to backfire. So when Jake manages to go missing again, Megan has to wonder if she'll be able to use this new genie to get Jake back. Will he actually help her, or will this chaotic new partner use the opportunity to completely destroy her world?

Get out your popcorn, tourists beware, here comes a paranormal adventure with a historical twist, set in Egypt--and Britain. From Chapter 29 'Darkness': 'Did I just try to dive into that goo to get at a dead guy?' Trueth asked. Define dead,' Metjen said with a half-smile. He muttered something and touched Trueth on the forehead. The rest of her giddiness faded away--only to return as Metjen crushed her in one of his bearhugs. 'For a moment I thought we would lose you. Don't do that again.' Trueth's cheeks burned. That could only be the caffeine. The stuff had never agreed with her. 'It wasn't my idea, there was a voice in my head!' *** Trueth hates being the last paranormal creature left on Earth. She needn't worry: On a trip to Egypt she runs into Metjen Al-Nour, magical member in the last temple of the sun god Ra. With sparks flying between them--not only those of the magical variety--they solve a 5000-year-old riddle where clues are literally buried in tombs, historical sites--as well as in the family safe. But their journey is far from over - where other stories end, this one really takes off... . The second novel in the trilogy, 'Cursed Times - Only Yesterday!', is completed, and 'In My Attic' - a spin-off to the world of Cursed Times is available with weekly updates. === Copyright information, given the recent acts of content piracy: All copyrights of the texts are mine exclusively. The Last Dragon Song

42 parts Complete

Jeanette Valemere grew up believing in a world no one else could see- a kingdom of dragons, elves, satyrs, and cyclops, where her grandfather once flew with the King of Dragons himself. But when tragedy struck, the truth was stripped away. Her family told her it was only fantasy. The book that held her bond was taken. And she was forced to forget. Years later, on a class trip to Japan, a stranger with golden-flecked eyes finds her. He claims to know her name, her past, and the mark hidden on the bottom of her foot. He says their world-her world-is dying without her. Jeanette laughs it off. Until the dreams return. Until the book finds her again. Until she stands once more in Mythraenys, where dragons take human form and every bond has a price. Torn between the life she's built and the truth she abandoned, Jeanette must reclaim what was lost, face a friend turned traitor, and decide whether to fight for a world she was born to save. Because in the end, only one song can awaken the last dragon... and it may already be too late.
