The purpose of a timer can be magical or miserable. For some, it could be a deadline they're not willing to meet. For others, it could be a countdown to an exciting event that they're impatiently waiting for. Yet, one timer is similar for every human being on this planet; the Chronological Companionship Device. Every single baby is born with a slender, glass clock reading .... d .. h .. m .. s implanted into his or her wrist. This apparatus counts down every day, hour, minute and second until you meet your soulmate, whether you like it or not. It is completely unavoidable. I've never met one girl or guy who isn't unhealthily longing to finally meet their other half. As for me, I'm fearing it.

-completed- Jack looked down at the timer on his wrist and sighed. In 6 days, 4 hours, 30 minutes, and 5 seconds, he was supposed to find his soulmate. Ironically, he had a Vid-Con panel with some friends that day. He often turned down the possibility that it might be one of them, and he assumed that it would be some random event. Possibly a phone call, or someone wandering on stage. He didn't really understand how the clock worked, all he knew was that the second your clock hits zero, you would kiss your soulmate. You can't control it. They may be in a completely different country, but your brain makes you fly there. Nothing gets in the way. Mark looked down at his wrist. He couldn't help but wonder who his soulmate might be, all he knew was that he'll be with them in 6 days, 4 hours, 30 minutes, and 5 seconds. ~~~~~ Hey! So this is the clock soulmate au, but with a twist. When the clock hits zero, they'll kiss their soulmate.
