This novel follows the aftermath of Obsidian's war and charts the rise of a new generation-and the shadow that clings to it. Author's Note This story and it's predecessor has lived in my head and heart for years. It's the product of long nights, reworked arcs, stubborn characters, and the challenge of creating a world that feels alive-flawed, beautiful, and worth fighting for. Along the way, I had help: a creative assistant in the form of AI, used like one might use a whiteboard, a thesaurus, or a trusted editor. The ideas, emotions, and direction were always mine. The AI simply helped me refine them, offering phrasing, structure, and clarity when I needed a second brain to bounce things off of. Storytelling has never been a solo act. We draw from everything-conversations, memories, dreams, tools. I'm proud of how this story came together and even prouder to share it. Thank you for stepping into this world with me.All Rights Reserved
