While it is true they care for one another, the love they once shared has diminished. They both know they're unhappy, and they both know why, but nobody wants to say it. Mistaking friendship for something more takes a toll on both married individuals as they navigate a tricky situation in which cheating, divorce, and an ache from long in the past come into play.
