In a future where memories can be harvested and stored, a young reporter named Alex discovers a secret repository of memories of unsolved crimes kept by the government. One evening, while researching an ancient murder, Alex learns that some of these memories have "echoes" of things that have not yet happened-glimpses of the future in pieces. One memory, in fact, shows a crime that has not yet occurred but will happen in 72 hours. Tormented by these visions, Alex is racing the clock to decipher the clues within the memories, piecing together where and when this future crime will occur. But the deeper Alex delves, the more apparent it is that someone influential doesn't want this mystery resolved. While Alex struggles to avert the crime, they start to question memory and reality-what if these "echoes" aren't just events yet to be experienced, but instead parallel tracks that might branch based on their actions?
