What happens when the boy who pushes everyone away meets the girl that can't bear to see anyone alone?

Josiah was the boy that was always alone. He was always silent, always hidden away instead of with the crowd like everyone else. He didn't bother making an effort to interact with anyone other than one person, and he wasn't afraid to publicly ─ and embarrassingly ─ deny your attempt of making conversation. He didn't care ─ sweet and simple.

Norah was the mean, closed off girl that put up a facade for the world to see. She had never done anything but pretend her entire life, and had fallen into a routine of acting like she didn't care for anyone or anything when deep down, she cared more than she would like to admit. She would sneakily show small acts of gratitude towards people she deemed deserving, but when she met the boy that forever changed her world ─ it all seemed to come corrupting.

A bullied girl meets the popular new student. ***** "Still saying that you're perfectly okay?" Max whispers. I'm surprised to hear that his voice is shaking. "I'm going to find who did this to you." ***** One time, I was the most popular girl in school. All the students in Royal Heights, the school of the richest, knew me as the pretty Luna Klein, daughter of a famous superstar and a well-known billionaire. But the next thing I know, I'm an outcast. Just because of a complicated thing called love, everything turns 180 degrees. Now, I'm the girl that everyone hates. I've lost all my friends. I've lost my best friend. And I've lost the guy that I adore. All I can do now is to ignore the bullies and to survive each day quietly, hoping that I don't attract too much attention like before. Everyone in my school starts to call me loony Luna. Or lunatic, their favorite nickname. Then he suddenly arrives. Max Cooper, the new student who just got here from Australia. Insanely good-looking and smart, topped with his impressive family background, Max easily becomes everybody's favorite, especially the girls'. Disastrously, of all the other things he can pick, Max sets his eyes on the most forbidden and despised thing in Royal Heights. Me. Even though the whole school hates that idea. But pushing Max away is like trying to tame a wild lion that has just been released from its cage. Max is unstoppable. My mother once said that if a guy is really into you, he will pursue you no matter what. I think I know now how it feels. I just don't know how to handle my heart. Because every time his piercing eyes land on me, I feel like my heart is going to burst out of my chest. ***** THE KLEINS SERIES BOOK #2 © 2021 Anya Jayvyn. All Rights Reserved.

'𝐋𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐧𝐚' - 𝘢 𝘣𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦, 𝘢 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵. | | ᥉tartᧉ꯭d ; 11/05/25 [ dd/mm/yy ] | ╰────────────────── •ᯓᡣ𐭩 Isaac Caden moved through life with a quiet emptiness he couldn't quite name, a subtle 𝗹𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗻𝗮 carved into the center of his being. He remembered faces without voices, moments without meaning - like snapshots from a film with the sound turned off. Isaac never let anyone nor himself see what he truly felt; his emotions were locked away behind an unshakable calm, as if revealing them would only make the emptiness inside him more real. People said he was an asshole, distant, always somewhere else, but the truth was simpler: something was missing, a piece of himself that had slipped away long ago. And though he didn't know what it was, he felt its absence in every silence, every unanswered question, every dream he couldn't quite remember when he woke up. Isaac never thought he would understand himself internally, he wasn't even sure that there was anything beneath his shell, he felt hollow - like there was nothing special about his existence. Purely floating through life without meaning. After a long time of trying to read himself, he gave up. He didn't care to understand anymore, he thought there was no reason for him being on this earth - he was then brutally slapped in the face with hard proof that he was wrong. ────୨ৎ──── 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: This story contains harsh topics and language, if any of the following disturbs you, do not read.
