Charlotte Dean’s life is anything but ordinary. One of Gotham’s wealthiest socialites, she spent her childhood fighting her aunt’s efforts to make her into the jetsetter she was supposed to be. Her cousin Bruce Wayne recently returned from a seven year absence to fight crime in the form of Batman. After a stroke leaves her uncle inhibited and dangerously delusional, there is talk of transferring him to the infamous Arkham Asylum. Attacks are made on her life. Tears are shed and boundaries crossed. And above all, she is beginning to fall for the mysterious Dr. Crane. But can she survive her own destiny, or will the city of Gotham bury her in its ashes?
