Aquiles is a boy like any other, with one key difference - he has never seen sunlight or the stars at night. He has spent his short life in a place they call "The Basement," where all he owns is his bed and a few toys to keep himself entertained. But more than anything, he plays by trying to move objects using only his mind.
The story begins when Aquiles is allowed to leave the basement for a special task, authorized by one of his main doctors - and once he returns, the only thing on his mind is going back out.
