Lord Death, Mortem, knew that Harry James Sirius Potter-Black would one day become his master. He decided to keep an eye on the child in case his future turned dark.
That's when he discovered how Albus had meticulously planned his young master's life-right down to how he should behave and even who he should end up with.
The old fool had laid out everything, treating Harry like a pawn.
Mortem, unwilling to let this happen, chose to change his little master's fate. He established a mental connection with Harry and quietly guided him through his time with the Dursleys.
When Harry turns eleven, Mortem plans to appear before Hagrid could arrive and take Harry to Peverell Manor instead. But that doesn't go accordingly.

It's post war and Harrison 'Harry' James potter is depressed. He's depressed that all these people gave up their lives for him. So in his sleep he just gives up. He dies peacefully in his sleep. After expecting to wake up in Kings Cross, he is shocked to discover he is in fact in Deaths Office. Turns out he is the master of Death. And he gets a second chance to change everything. And have a much better chance at life whilst living up to his Marauder heritage. This time Hogwarts sees a tall handsome boy with messy black hair a lightning bolt scar, vivid green eyes full of mischief and life. Not a small, scrawny, messy haired boy with full green eyes that are full of fear and naivety. He takes Hogwarts by the storm with his humour, pranks and skill. A week at Malfoy mansion ~ Scorbus + Wolfstar
People said our dads fell in love, but were kept apart by their parents. But dad said this wasn't true, and I believe him, I always have. He's not always right though. He also said that Scorpius Malfoy would be trouble, and I should stay away from him. But I stuck to him like glue and became his best friend instead. While his parents were away, we got to stay at his house, the famous Malfoy mansion. This story contains mainly Scorbus, with a little Wolf star hidden in there too- I couldn't bear to let them die in this version when they were so clearly married.
