In a world where population control is law and mercy is myth, all 19-year-olds are thrown into the Program-a state-sanctioned death game disguised as a rite of passage. Eight are chosen by random draw. Four boys. Four girls. Forced into alliances. Paired off like pawns.

Each round is crueler than the last, and only the top ten survive. The rest vanish-into graves or forgotten slums.
