Where the moon meets the water
In the quiet village of Lyrindale, nestled beyond the towering Crimson Peaks, Celest Everhart has lived a simple life. Raised by her father, a healer with a past shrouded in secrecy, she spends her days tending to the sick and reading tales of gods and magic-stories that once shaped the kingdom but are now long forgotten. But far beyond the mountains, the Evergloom Forest is spreading. Its shadows stretch further each year, swallowing villages, whispering in the minds of those who wander too close. No one knows why. No one dares to ask. Until the knights come. When a group of royal soldiers arrives in Lyrindale, led by the formidable Daelan Sylva, Celest's world begins to unravel. A single night of bloodshed forces her to flee for her life, throwing her into the heart of a conflict she never sought. As dark forces stir and long-buried secrets resurface, she must confront a truth hidden in time-one that could change the fate of the kingdom itself. Haunted by his past and bound by duty, Daelan has spent years silencing threats before they can take root. But Celest is different. She is not a warrior, not a traitor, not a sorcerer-and yet, he cannot let her go. As they are drawn deeper into a web of secrets, where kings wage silent wars and long-dead sorcerers whisper from the dark, one thing becomes clear- Some stories are meant to be forgotten. Some secrets should have stayed buried. And some fates-no matter how hard you fight-cannot be escaped.
